What building results are shown on the public benchmarking map?

If your building has opted-in to the CRD Building Benchmarking Program map, the map will display your building’s name, year built, management organization, property type, square footage, and the following building performance metrics for the current reporting year:
  1. Greenhouse Gas Emissions Intensity
  2. Greenhouse Gas Emissions
  3. Site Energy Use Intensity
  4. Source Energy Use Intensity
  5. ENERGY STAR Score (if available)

Please note that if your building has opted into the CRD Building Benchmarking Program map, it will also be included in the Building Benchmark BC map (https://buildingbenchmarkbc.ca/data).

How to opt-out of the CRD Building Benchmarking Program map

If you would like your building to opt-out of the benchmarking map, you can simply log into the Building Owner Portal and switch the “Make Results Public” toggle to the “off” position (note that this option is only available once you have completed the benchmarking submission/review process).

If the “Make Results Public” toggle is switched “off” for your building, your property will still appear on the map, but without energy or carbon results. The “off” position is illustrated below:
