How does the CRD program relate to Building Benchmark BC (BBBC)?

Many buildings in the Capital Regional District are existing participants in Building Benchmark BC (BBBC), a voluntary benchmarking program launched in 2020. By participating in the CRD Building Benchmarking Program, your properties will automatically be enrolled in Building Benchmark BC, helping benchmarking grow in the province of British Columbia, and contributing to the industry shift towards improving building performance.

Once your building benchmarking submission to the CRD program is accepted for the current cycle, you will have the option to choose how you would like your building to appear on CRD’s public benchmarking map (Knowledge Base Article). The same disclosure option you selected for your building for CRD’s program will be noted, and carried over to Building Benchmark BC’s interactive map (Website Link), which is normally published in the Fall of each year.
