5. Share your properties with the Capital Regional District ESPM account

Before being able to share your properties with the Capital Regional District Benchmarking ESPM account “CRDBenchmarking”, you must first connect with them on ESPM.

STEP 1 - Send a connection request to the CRDBenchmarking ESPM account. You have two options for completing this step.

OPTION 1:  Add CRDBenchmarking as a contact on ESPM by clicking on the Connection Request Link (ESPM Website Link).



OPTION 2: Follow the steps below to manually add Capital Regional District Benchmarking (CRDBenchmarking) to your ESPM contacts:
  1. Click on ‘Contacts’ on the upper right hand corner, then ‘Add New Contacts/Connections.’
  2. Search for the CRD Benchmarking account by entering ‘CRDBenchmarking’ in the ‘Username’ field and clicking ‘Search’
  3. Connect with the ‘CRDBenchmarking’ account



Note: The connection request in ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager will be automatically accepted, but can take up to 2 minutes. You will receive a notification in Portfolio Manager when Capital Regional District (CRDBenchmarking) accepts your request.


STEP 2 - Once you are connected to CRDBenchmarking, navigate to the “Sharing” tab and click on “Share with your Utility or Service Provider for exchanging data”


STEP 3 - From the “Share Properties for Exchanging Data” page, respond to the 3 prompts:

(1) Select Web Services Provider (Account): select “Capital Regional District (CRD) (CRDBenchmarking)” from the dropdown menu



(2) Select Properties: click ‘Select Properties’ then click the checkbox for the property(ies) you wish to share with CRD Benchmarking. Click ‘Apply Selection’.


(3) Choose Permissions (access rights) for sharing with CRD Benchmarking. Select ‘Bulk Sharing (Simple Option) and ‘Exchange Data Full Access.’

When you have completed this step, click ‘Authorize Exchange’.


You can verify that your connection request or property share is complete by clicking on Notifications (upper right menu) and then checking the Notices tab.
