To set up your property in the Building Owner Portal, you must first have completed the steps in Part 1 of this guide (
Knowledge Base Link: Part 1).
STEP 1 - After logging in to the Building Owner Portal (
https://bop.opentech.eco/orgs/crd), and having already claimed your property, click on '‘Property List’ in the top navigation bar. Please refer to
this article for how to claim a property. Select one of your claimed properties on the left sidebar, and click on the ‘Get Started’ button.
STEP 2 - Type in your building's ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager Property ID (Please read
this article on how to find your property's ESPM ID) and click 'Next'.
STEP 3 - Confirm that you have shared your property on ESPM with CRDBenchmarking. If not, follow the instructions and links in the Building Owner Portal to share access to your properties. For help, review the article "
Share your properties with CRDBenchmarking".
STEP 4 - Confirm that your property in ESPM contains the Capital Regional District - CRD Benchmarking Building ID (in the ESPM Standard ID section). For help, review the article "
Add & Set up your property (in ESPM)".
If you have shared the property on ESPM with Full Access rights, you will be able to apply the CRD Building ID to your ESPM property from the Building Owner Portal. Click the checkbox "I agree to allow the Building Owner Portal to automatically set this property’s Capital Regional District - CRD Benchmarking in ESPM" and then click 'Complete Setup'.
If you have already added your CRD Building ID to your property in ESPM, the message below will appear. Click 'Complete Setup' to move to the next step.
STEP 5 - Click ‘Submit Your Data’ to submit your property to the CRD Building Benchmarking Program. This will launch the Data Quality Checker to check that your property data is complete before you can finish the submission process.
The Data Quality Checker may take up to 20 seconds to check your property data for errors.
If errors are detected, you will receive an error message. Go to ESPM and correct the data errors, before clicking 'Check Again'. You will not be able to submit your building's benchmarking data to the CRD Building Benchmarking Program without completing this step.
Once your property has passed the Data Quality Checker, your submission status will change to 'Pending Review'.
Your submission will be reviewed and the status of your benchmarking submission will be updated, typically within 3 to 5 business days.
